First let me say, this dress was a huge hit at my daughter's party. She loved it and felt special in it. The compliments kept coming about how different and how sparkly it looked. My daughter just turned 8, she is 49 lbs and 49" tall. She is a bit on the small size - weight wise so I felt okay ordering the size 6 dress. (The 8 was out of stock.) It fit her like a glove. It has a gorgeous tie back belt and also it is fully lined. This dress was right around knee length. I would imagine an 8 would've been a bit longer but probably too big in the chest area for her size. You can't go wrong with this dress. It photographs well and my daughter didn't want to take it off. I've included a bunch of photos to see the dress from different angles.
