I purchased this dress for my 8 month-old daughter to wear for a special event. My daughter is in the 5th percentile for her height and is considered slightly UNDERweight. She easily wears size 6M clothes and even some 3M clothes still. I figured a size 6M dress that doesn't even have sleeves -- is a spaghetti strap dress -- would be more than big enough. The dress that arrived has a tag inside that says "12 month" but the sticker on the tag says "6M - 12M" despite ordering a size 6M. Despite claiming to be a size 12M dress it didn't even fit! My daughter is only 8 months old! The dress would not even BEGIN to zip in the back -- there was a good six inch gap between sides of the zipper in the back! This is a very beautiful dress but you need to order at least three or four sizes up from what you think you need. Try the dress on IMMEDIATELY or you'll find yourself in the boat we were in, on the day of the event, with a dress that for all the world looked almost TOO BIG but didn't come close to closing in the back. This dress is just way, way off in sizing. It could be these are irregular dresses and the lower price is a result of the sizing being off. In this case the jacket fit, the length was great but the bodice woudl have been a snug fit for a 3 month-old child. It's a shame too -- because it's a very beautiful dress. BEWARE.
