This dress is beautiful! I ordered it for a very formal occasion and it will work perfectly. I almost didn't order this due to unclear sizing. My main hesitation was that I was unsure about the Amazon sizing chart being accurate (for this dress, it is not). Kids Dream dresses only show even numbers available to order, and I needed a size 6X-7. When I contacted the seller, iGirlDress, they kindly informed me that this brand of dresses come in even numbers. I asked for the measurements and they were kind enough to do give them to me:

Size 6: The chest of size 6 is 25.5", waist 25", length (Shoulder to hem ) is 32".
Size 8: The chest of size 8 is 27.5", waist 26", length (Shoulder to hem ) is 34".

(The tags on the size six say "5-6", and the size eight say "7-8".)

The color of the dress is slightly darker than shown, it is more of a pale milky coffee color, with a slight goldish tint.

The bodice has the look of smooth shantung silk and has two layers of fabric, so it is smooth inside to the wearer and not sheer at all.

The skirt has three layers to it and is pretty full on it's own. The top layer is made of a thin synthetic sheer fabric with clean, crisp, machine embroidery. I did not see any loose threads or poorly finished details. The embroidery looks tight, and the dress is sewn cleanly on the edges - though you can see the finishing on the seams on the sheer layer. ( I intend to fold the inside seams on this layer and hand stitch the fabric so you cannot see the zig zag patterning of the finishing.) The second layer is a stiff satiny lining - almost a taffeta. The undermost layer is made of a slightly thinner, stiff satiny lining with wide bands of stiff white tulle ruffles attached to give the skirt some volume. It has about half the volume of the skirt shown in the photo. (I ordered a child's slip with a petticoat on Amazon which worked wonderfully to give it the volume shown.)

The black sash is made of a good quality satin, is long enough to tie a large bow and still have fabric left hanging. The black, flower is pretty, (non-embellished and made of sheer fabric petals) and is pinned on to the sash. This gives the wearer the option of removing or wearing the flower. It does not include the long black strips of ribbon hanging off of the flower as shown.

The dress itself is lovely and of good quality! Although made of synthetic fabrics, it is reasonably priced and wears beautifully! It looks quite fine and even better if accessorized well. My daughter's eyes lit up at the sight of it as did mine!!
