I LOVED this dress online, so I purchased it for a Daddy/Daughter Princess Prom. It was a Paris theme so I thought it would be perfect =) When I first took the dress out of the package, I was just as in love with it. It is very pretty and very soft. BUT, once I put it on my five-year-old, I noticed a few things. It was made a little big, but that wasn't really an issue since my little girl is on the small side. (She will be six in four months and I ordered size 5-6.) The problems I had with it were minor: the shoulder straps were not made the same, so one of them was twisted. I was able to fix that with an iron and some time, but basically the straps were sewn on the dress with the seam of the strap in different places causing them to lay differently. Second, the zipper in the back would NOT stay zipped. It does not have a hook and eye closure at the top of the zipper to keep it secure. I will be adding one, but for the event I just put a stitch above the zipper to hold it because I didn't have time to fix it any other way. Another issue is that the sash is very easily wrinkled, so before you pull the bow tight, make sure the bow is exactly as you like it. Otherwise that material is great because it makes a VERY pretty bow with long tails. Also, the flower is a pin which can be removed when washing the dress. My main disappointment was the overall material for the dress. It was NOT full as pictured, but made from a very flowing, soft satin material. The picture shown must have been taken with a very full slip or crinoline underneath, which would work, to make the dress appear nice and full. I liked the fluffy look because to me it was more fancy for our event, so I used a tutu under it that my daughter already owned because that's all I had time to do. It did not make the dress look like the pic, but it helped. So, long story short, I probably WOULD purchase the dress again because it was affordable and pretty...but there were a few negatives. I haven't washed the dress yet, so I don't know how it stands up to that. I'll try to add to my review once I do.
