I was a bit tired of having previously purchased cheaply constructed belts, and so, decided to invest in a proper, well crafted US made leather belt.

While browsing Amazon one day, I noticed this company named Orion, a neat name for a belt company I thought, and noticed their products were all US made from what seemed to be high quality leather / materials.

I did a bit of digging with some various online leather shops, and to get a genuine US made leather belt, made of real hide, with proper leather thickness, brass hardware, and built to this standard of quality, you'd likely need to spend upwards of $75.00 and in most cases, upwards of $100.00

Figured I'd take a chance since the price was comparatively low...and oh boy, what a score! Such a gorgeous, well made product -- this belt is easily the thickest, sturdiest belt I've ever had the pleasure of laying my hands on -- It feel so strong, it could probably be used to pull a car if one was so compelled...

The leather is real hide, and exudes a fantastic smell -- the smell reminds me of a couple of horsehide jackets I own...just divine. The buckle is made of brass and is secured by screw on rivets, which allow for easy changing of the buckle, should one wish to do so.

Color was more of a dark burgundy, red wine color -- beautiful -- fits fine through the loops my Levis. I'm typically a 34 and ordered a 38 size -- works perfect for me -- you could probably go with just one size up, but I wanted a bit extra room in case my belly expands. ;)

This is NOT a dress belt, as the cut is 1.5" -- I would categorize this as a casual wear belt, working well with jeans (or even for the working man, assuming you don't have to rock dress pants). This isn't the lightest of belts either, but rather heavy, considering the thickness of the leather

This belt will likely out live me...even with daily wear, I don't see it wearing out anytime soon. Great to find this level of quality, at a very reasonable price, which is also handcrafted in the USA... I was so impressed, I order another couple belts from this company and will post reviews on those as soon as they arrive.
