I purchased this dress for my 5 year old daughter because we are going on a cruise. She needed a formal for the dressy night. She helped pick it out and chose it because of the embellishments. The flower on the front is pinned on (and I may convince her to take the flower off.) I am glad I ordered her the size 6x, it fits her well. She has tried it on and doesn't complain that it's 'itchy' like a lot of dresses. The gathers look like they are well sewn (I ordered one from another company and the pick up gathers came un-sewn before the event was over.) I give it 4 stars because it was a little higher priced than I think it should be.
